William B. McCreary, of Washington Twp., on September 1, 2020. Age 81. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Harwick). Loving father of Lori and Randy. Devoted grandfather of Stephen and Michael. Dear brother of Margaret. He is also survived by his feline companions, Daisy and Smoky and many loving by nieces and nephews.
William was a member of the Freemasons. He enjoyed flying his Bonanza and working on airplanes. William loved his family, cats and Pine Valley. He took pride in his lawn and azalea beds. He was a kind and generous man, always seeing the good in people; no matter what they said or did. He would often say “he’s not a bad guy, he just wasn’t raised like you.” William enjoyed playing slot machines, especially at The Riviera in Las Vegas. There was nothing he could not fix or build. William passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife, children, grandsons and cats.
Family and friends are invited to attend William’s viewing Sunday, 4:00-6:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William’s name to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter, 125 County House Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012.

To Judy and family - I have fond memories of the holiday gatherings Bill held at the hanger. Lots of good camaraderie, laughs, jeering, and all of the good fun. Probably my best memory of Bill was one day he asked me to fly him to Trenton. Very enjoyable trip in my 152. Aviation brought us all together and forever bonded we all are. Bill will truly be missed by so many people. Prayers of peace to your family.

I looked up to Bill. He worked on my airplanes for 20+ years. A wealth of knowledge on numerous topics. I left NJ in 2012, but last October returned to have new avionics installed in one of my airplanes. When I had a mechanical issue, Bill helped me resolve the problem. Great guy. He will be missed.

I met Bill at Cross Keys airport when I had an issue with my airplane that no one wanted to do. I approached Bill and he accepted the challenge and did an excellent job. That started a great friendship with Bill and I trusted him implicitly. He was also a great conversationalist and we touched on many subjects over the years. What a great guy overall!

Bill Graf and I are sharing memories of Mr. McCreary in our ongoing Twitter DM thread with Randy and Jim Petolicchio. We have too many to share, but I will share this one: Every single time he and Randy departed one another, Mr. M always said "Love you, Ran."
100% of the time, without fail.
I do this with my sons, now who are 19, 17, and 15, and I specifically modeled this after seeing it for years from Mr. McCreary.
Rest in Peace. Heaven's lawn is gonna be lit, probably because Mr. McCreary will dig a well all the way down to hell and steal all their water.
