On February 6, 2018 of Washington Twp. Age 25. Devoted father of Jaxton Thomas Donahue. Beloved son of Gerard and Helen (nee McCafferty) Donahue. Loving brother of Katelynn, Brandon and Anna Donahue. Loving grandson of Francis Donahue. Loving companion of Karla Battiste. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ryan had a serious demeanor, but a very big heart. He always put others before himself. If you were in the car with Ryan and he saw someone broke down on the side of the road, there was no doubt he was making you pull over to assist them. If there was an opportunity to lend a helping hand, Ryan was there. He was a handyman, a jack of all trades. He was the guy who mastered something small like painting to something huge like building a house. Ryan would preach the word of the Lord in hopes to direct someone who was lost. He had a passion for fishing and fulfilled his dream of becoming a lobster fisherman. He loved being out on the open water as well as the challenges that went along with it. Ryan’s most prized possession was his son, Jaxton. He was extremely proud to be his father and would move mountains for him, if possible. They were two peas in a pod. Ryan shared the same deep love for his family. He strived to make them proud.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday 9:00-10:15 AM at Mary Mother of Mercy Parish/Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 500 Greentree Road, Glassboro. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ryan’s memory may be made to Arise Addiction Recovery, 11 Stillman Street, Machias, ME 04654.

I knew Ryan and his extended family from our Missing Peace meetings at CCSJ and was so saddened to hear of his passing. He was a sincere and softspoken kid with a true heart for the Lord. Not to sound cliche'd but I've heard it said, "God heals all who trust in Him... some while here on earth and others in heaven where together, they will spend eyernity".
