Robert A. Schickling, on February 19, 2019, of Williamstown. Age 84. Beloved husband of Monika (nee Ertl). Devoted father of Robert Schickling, Jr., Margaret Whittaker, Harry Fisher (Barbara), Donna Barrett, Michael Fisher (Ruth) and Christina Romano. Loving grandfather of Candice Green (Richard), Kelcey Fisher, Marina Fisher, Cassandra Fisher, Gabriel Romano, Robert Schickling, III, and Vincent Romano. Dear brother of Gerald Schickling and the late Kathleen Tregnan, Joseph, Henry, John and Edward Schickling.
Born in Port Richmond to Henry and Katherine Schickling, he was one of 7 children. Robert attended Saint Katherine of Sienna Elementary School and then North Catholic High School for Boys. He served in the US Army spending most of his time in Germany. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Drexel University.
Robert had a successful tool and engineering company in Runnemede, New Jersey for 40 years. He excelled at engineering through innovation and owns many patents.
He was a member of Germania Maennerchor and National Tool and Die Association.
He enjoyed his home in Florida, dancing, big band music, gourmet cooking, spending time with his family, making people laugh with his quick wit, endless stories and jokes. A true life of the party. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends.
