Richard Charles Behm, Sr.

On February 18, 2025, of Washington Twp.  Age 84.  Beloved husband of Carmella (nee Gugliotti).  Devoted father of Dawn Trieble (Thomas), Kim Catterall (Thomas), Michele Deich (Charles), Richard Behm, Jr.  Loving grandfather of Nicole, Tommy, Mia, Jordyn, Alyssa, Kyle, and Andrew.  Proud great-grandfather of Lucy, Bianca, Noah, Ava, and Isla.  Cherished son of the late Harry A. and Emma (nee Henzler) Behm.  Dear brother of the late Frederick Behm.

Rich worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 60 years.  He worked both in the United States for several contractors including the Marsella Brothers in Washington Twp. and James D. Morrissey in Philadelphia.  He also worked abroad on the construction of several well-known golf courses.  After building his own home in the Timberlake’s Community, he served as the volunteer Fire Chief of the Cecil Fire Company for several years.  He was also active in the community’s activities, including helping to form the teenage dance committee.  He loved the Eagles, Phillies, and especially NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. After retirement he enjoyed gardening and his pets including Zoey and Feathers (the bird). Above all, he was devoted to his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  Funeral Service 7:30 pm.

In honor of Richard’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations to Parkinson’s Foundation.
