Please accept our deepest condolences to Dominick, Maria, John, Crissy, the grandkids and everyone else on your loss. Our hope is that you can remember the many good times over the years during this difficult time. We are reminded daily through our interactions with Maria of what a remarkable woman Phyllis was and how she helped mold 2 wonderful children, cared for and supported a wonderful man in Dominick and helped shape the lives of her grandchildren and everyone around her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. There Will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale "There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground, And swallows circling with their shimmering sound; And frogs in the pools singing at night, And wild plum-trees in tremulous white; Robins will wear their feathery fire Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire; And not one will know of the war, not one Will care at last when it is done. Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree If mankind perished utterly; And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn, Would scarcely know that we were gone." Laura, Dan, Gabrielle and Sophia Labow

Philomena was my big sister. As a little girl I looked up to her for just about everything. She taught me so many things. One of the most important things she taught me was to be kind to everyone. She would always say: "Remember, MaryAnn, you never know what another person is going through so be nice." When I would spend summer vacations with her she would always bake my favorite desserts and make me silver dollar pancakes for breakfast! She always made me feel special and cared for. Another wonderful memory is when I was about 9 yrs. old and a hugh Beatles fan she surprised me by taking me to see their movie "A Hard Days Night". She was the best big sister anyone could have. She will always live in my heart.

John Simone left a message on March 27, 2015:
My memories of my sister Phyllis when growing up: She was so smart, had a great sense of humor, alway funny, and always fooling around. We were very close growing up and always together. She drove my Mom so crazy, but in a good way. She would tease Mom all the time. She always worried about her family. If any of us were sick or had to go to a doctor she would get her self so upset until she knew we were okay. She would call us all the time, have to know about us and our children. She was a wonderful sister, and I love you and you will never be forgotten. Love your brother John {your favorite "Junie" }
Robert Simone left a message on March 27, 2015:
The best memories I had of my sister Phyllis is when she taught me how to roller skate, we never laughed so hard, I couldn't keep my balance and kept on falling, but the best of all is when she would get up on the table at supper time and sing, me and my brothers would throw spaghetti at her, she was a good sport about it and we all had a good laugh. I take comfort in knowing that you have no more pain,and that you are with Mom, Dad, Louise, and Ambrose. This is not goodbye just goodnight Phyllis. Love you always and forever, your brother Robert
Maria Romano left a message on April 23, 2015:
My mom was the best Mother anyone could ever be. She gave my brother and I a safe, loving place in her heart. She gave selflessly to everyone she met. She had strength beyond compare even in the face of her medical adversity. I love you, Mommy. I miss you. I always will. I am so happy for you that there is no more pain. I will be with you again someday.

I have known my sister-in-law Phyllis since I was 15 yrs old. She got her first job at age 16 to help out her family. Thats what Phyllis was all about "family". She worried about all of us. Her laugh was the greatest-whether she was having a good day or bad. After many conversations thru the years, some on difficult days, we always ended by talking about her family, my family, her tears turning to laughter, and of course saying "I love you" Love ya Phyllis and know you are free of all pain. Your sister-in-law, Pat

Maria, John, Dominic and Family - My condolences to all of you for the loss of Phyllis. She will be missed, but not forgotten, by all of the people she has touched throughout her life. She was a kind and loving woman and a wonderful wife and mother. She always was happy to be around her family and her big heart showed in her interactions with everyone she met. The girls and I are sad for her passing but know she is smiling down on her friends and family in peace.
