Nicholas G. Zaccaria

February 22, 1921 - September 22, 2009

Nicholas G. Zaccaria passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Kennedy Memorial Hospital. Of Washington Twp. Age 88. His final days were spent surrounded by his beloved family. He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Rose Valente; his son Nicholas M. and his daughter-in-law Catherine Kraus; his daughter Terry and his son-in-law David Somerville; two cherished granddaughters, Rebecca Somerville and Kristin Somerville; and his three brothers, James, Carmen and John. Preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph.

Mr. Zaccaria was born in Philadelphia. He honorably served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was the successful owner of a garment-pressing machine and supply business in Philadelphia. He retired 23 years ago.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday eve 7:00 – 9:00pm and Saturday 8:15 – 9:15am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
