Margaret A. Nunno

(nee Castellano) On July 30, 2024 of Washington Twp. Age 84. Beloved wife of Anthony Nunno Sr. Devoted mother of Anthony Nunno (Roseann), Laura Suchoicki (Marian), and Loretta Tootchen (Richard). Loving grandmother of Christina, Angela, Elizabeth, and Katherine. Dear sister of the late Carl Castellano (the late Edith), the late Andrew Castellano (the late Nola), the late Casper “Campy” Castellano (the late Dorita), and the late Joseph Castellano (the late Anna).  Loved by many nieces and nephews. Survived by her loving childhood friend Mildred Aros.

Born and raised is South Philadelphia in St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Margaret was part of the first graduating class from St. Maria Goretti High School.

Margaret went on to meet the love of her life, Anthony in 1963.  They were married shortly afterwards and started their family. Together they raised 3 children as parishioners at St. Monica’s Church. Margaret worked 25+ years at Reliance Standard Life as an accomplished insurance underwriter.

In retirement Margaret and Anthony moved to Turnersville N. J. and established a full life as parishioners at St. Charles Borromeo.

There she made wonderful friends and was active in the parish as Eucharist Minister and volunteered on many different committees.

She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid baker, quilter, and sewer. She greatly valued the time she had with her granddaughters and cherished the hours she spent with them passing along family recipes and traditions.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 9:30 – 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Sicklerville, NJ 08081. Mass of Christian Burial 11:15 AM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church at the above address.
