Julius J. Ponzio

On December 7, 2020 of Washington Twp. Age 85. Beloved husband of Annmarie (nee Bruno). Devoted father Lorraine Pomante (James), Anthony Ponzio (Kristen), and JoAnne Paxson (John). Loving grandfather of Jay, Lisa-Marie, Alexa, Jonathan, Evan, and Christian. Dear brother of the late Lucy, Adrianne, Gennaro, and James. Proud-great-grandfather of Gemma, Cecilia, James, and Vienna.

Dad loved everything about life.  He loved bowling in his youth, and was a voracious reader of books, particularly John Grisham.  Besides watching war movies, or telling us stories about his adventures in Love Company in the Army, he loved to sing and dance. He entertained us endlessly with his beautiful personality and his joy-filled spirit.  The more we smiled, the more he sang.  You could always see his eyes light up as he spent time with family at his Happy Place down the shore.  He loved sitting on his front porch, waving at passerby, getting his soft-serve ice cream, sitting by the campfire with family and friends, fishing and crabbing at the bay, going on random car rides, and just enjoying the time spent on endless summer days with the love of his life, our Mom.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 9:30-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Julius’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310 Marlton, NJ 08053.
