nee Faust Joyce A. Mannon, 49, passed away on July 24, 2009. Formerly of Washington Twp, Joyce recently resided in Charlotte, NC with her beloved husband Steven of 27 years. She was a devoted mother of Brett, 24, Jaclyn, 20, and Jessica Mannon, 19. Joyce was a loving daughter of her mother Betty Faust and the late Lincoln Faust. She is also survived by her dear sister Susan McNally.
Joyce was born and raised in Lancaster, PA and will always be remembered for her ever present smile and her generosity towards others. She found delight in family vacations to the Outer Banks, going for early morning runs with her dear friends, cooking for her dinner groups, and watching her children participate in athletics. Joyce’s fulfillment came through working in the kindergarten as a special needs teacher’s assistant, where she touched many children’s lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday evening 6:00-9:00pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd. Washington Twp. NJ and Saturday 9:00-11:00am at the Pitman United Methodist Church 758 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ . The funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations referencing Joyce’s name, to the Penn State Dance MaraTHON, in support of the Four Diamonds Fund; raising funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. To All the Mannons, Cynthy and I were deeply saddened by the news of Mrs. Mannon's passing. We just got home late today Saturday and saw the Obit. listing. Believe me, if we had been home, we would have been there. Your family will always be remembered as being a close knit family who has the respect of so many people. I was fortunate enough to have Brett in class and Jess in homeroom. I never had Jackie in class but I did know her. What an awesome family we all were. What wonderful and fun memories. Joyce was such a major part of all of that fun as we know all of the families would agree. Joyce always had the sweetest personality in high school, and, though a recent news article can be only a snapshot account at best, it is clear that her sweet disposition continued with her in her family life and life's work.
