Josephine C. Hauser on September 29, 2018, of Washington Twp. Age 93. Beloved wife of the late William. Devoted mother William (Janice), Joann Haines (Bill) and Steve (Lisa). Loving grandmother of Bethany, Will, Bill, Andy, Chris, Kent, Ryan, Kerissa, Alex, Steven and Ethan and 12 great grand children. Brothers John and Albert Catona and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa on May 1, 1925. Josephine worked as a welder during World War Two building battleships in Philadelphia. She worked at Westinghouse and then The American Can company in Philadelphia. While working there she met William Hauser and they were married in October of 1947. She owned her own baby clothing store hand making all of the merchandise. While living in Upper Darby, PA, Jo, as she liked to be called, gave birth to twins, Bill and Joann. In 1959 the family relocated to Whitman Square in Washington Township. In 1961 she gave birth to Steven.
Jo started a career with Home Interiors based out of Dallas, Tx as an interior decorator and master floral arranger. Her ability and love of the business saw her rise to manager overseeing over 75 other displayers.
Her passion was cooking for family and friends. She loved to travel by car throughout the United States and even drove to Mexico City. She belonged ballroom dance groups and a travel club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday, October 4, 2018, 9:00 – 11:00 as at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church 176 Stage Coach Rd. Sicklerville, NJ. Mass of Christian burial 11:00.
Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hilltop, NJ
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Josephine’s name.
