Joseph E. Kowalski
On August 10, 2022, Joseph Kowalski of North Wildwood, Age 80, passed on. Beloved husband of Joyce Kowalski (nee Dare). Devoted father of Deborah Ford (the late Douglas), Jeffrey Kowalski (Denise) and Karen Scarcia (Frank). Loving grandfather of Amanda, Vincent (Haley), Kyle, Danielle, and Joseph. Proud great-grandfather of Camryn.
Dear son of late Sylvester and Sophia (nee Sysko). Dear brother of Ronald Kowalski and the late Sylvester, Vincent, and John. He is survived by his sister-in-law Joann Barnes (Lou) and Dolores Kowalski and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Joseph was born in Scranton PA and is the youngest of five brothers. He moved to New Jersey and attended Triton Regional High School, where he met his sweetheart, Joyce. He raised his family in Washington Township, New Jersey, and eventually retired in North Wildwood.
Joseph received a degree at Temple University in Mechanical Engineering. He was a man of many talents, who owned his own business in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and later moved onto Project Management, managing institutional, commercial, and industrial construction projects. There wasn’t a job that Joseph could not do.
Joseph enjoyed reading, fishing, listening to all kinds of music genres, and watching sports. He was a lifelong Eagles fan and loved following Philadelphia professional and college sports, as well as being a big fan of his grandchildren’s’ sporting events.
Joseph was committed to community service throughout his lifetime. He was an Elk Member for 30 years.
In honor of Joseph’s last wishes, a Memorial Service will be held at Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge 1896 on August 18, 2022 and will begin promptly at 11:00 am.
