John P. Davis
On June 6, 2021, of Gloucester Twp. Age 78. Beloved husband of the late Janet (nee Forker). Devoted father of John P. Davis (Theresa), Christine Deegan, and Scott E. Davis. Loving grandfather of Jordon, Cheryl, Beth, Julia, Decklan, and Brianna. Proud great-grandfather of Kylee, William, Mia, and Sean. Dear brother of James and the late Robert. Loving companion of Michele Catania.
Born and raised in Cramer Hill section of Camden. John was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, was an all-around athlete and an excellent student. He was proud to serve in the United States Air Force for two tours and was stationed in England. He worked as an air traffic controller for the Air Force and then later for the FAA. He reached the grade of Staff Sargent. John loved music, all kinds of music. He sang and played guitar and had his own bands, as well as played in others. Along with music, John loved golf and bowling and made many lifelong friends while playing. He was truly an honorable man and would reach out and support anyone who needed help. He especially looked after his family and friends. He retired from the Black Horse Pike Regional School system, where he worked for 25 years, to a life of golf, bowling, and family. He was quiet, gentle, fun loving soul and will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 8:00 pm.
