On behalf of Boomtowners of South Philly let me express our sincere condolences to the family of Hank. Growing up together on Homestead Terrace in South Philly, Hank was my closest friend. We both went to Saint Richard's grade school and did everything together. Hank loved playing baseball and always rooted for the Saint Louis Cardinals. We would go to the Saturday morning radio and TV sports shows where we would score Phillies and A's tickets. Hank was a fellow Boomtowner and attended many of our reunions. He also worked as an electrician at the Philadelphia Navy Yard with several other Boomtowners. His infectious smile and laughter will be missed by all who came in contact with him. May God be with him and may he rest in peace.

To the Vahey Family:
I cherished the years Hank and I worked together at the church. He was such a friendly presence, a man with so much common sense. I'll never forget all the funny things he used to say-he kept me in stitches. Based on his appreciation of Catholocism, he will be welcomed with open arms in Heaven.
