George Scott Beyer
On June 15, 2020 of Williamstown. Age 83. Beloved husband of Mary L. (nee Hughes). Devoted father of James Beyer (Vaughn), Mark Beyer (Ann), Thomas Beyer (Natalie) and Laura Casaletto (Richard). Loving grandfather of Scott, Richard, Liana, Kevin, Matthew, Garrett, Brian, Joseph, Callie and Cassidy. Proud great-grandfather of Lula. Dear brother of Gerald Beyer and the late Gary Beyer.
Nothing was more important to George than family. He and his wife Mary shared 60 loving years of marriage. He was a proud father of four, grandfather of ten and great-grand father one. He always worked hard to ensure his family was taken care of and loved nothing more than spending time with them whenever possible.
George loved to travel and learn new things. When his children were young, he enjoyed giving them the experience of camping and traveling cross country. After retiring, he and Mary continued to travel together throughout the U.S. and ventured from the Artic to the Antarctic.
George had a great passion for wood working. His greatest legacy, beyond his family, was turning and creating wooden bowls. Through the years he produced over 225 bowls which he has passed down through the family as gifts. The bowls will always act as a reminder of the love he provided and the example he and Mary set for the family.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday 11:00 AM-12:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 PM at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp.
