On February 8, 2023, of Washington Twp. Age 89. Loving companion of Eileen Clark. Devoted father of David M. Carey, and Cheryl Carey Fraize. Loving stepfather of Ginna Sneathen (Leroy), and William Clark (Kathy). Loving grandfather of Jared, Jaime, Jessica (Phil) Daniel (Theresa), Kasey, Lauren, James (Danielle), Adam, and Bethany. Proud great-grandfather of 9. Dear brother of his surviving siblings Miriam Price and Blanche LaCroix (Ron).

David is the former co-owner of Schuster Shoes of Berlin, NJ. He was a happy host of Christmas Eve gatherings for over 40 years. He loved treating his loved ones to Chinese Food, sweets, and strawberries.

A service honoring David’s life will be on Saturday 11:00 AM at Apostle Lutheran Church, Washington Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to Apostle Lutheran Church, 4401 Route 42, Turnersville, NJ 08012.

Thank you, Dave for coming in to our bake shop! It was always a pleasure to talk to you! We were very sadden to hear of your passing. We will keep you and your family in our prayers!

Uncle Dave, you will truly be missed!! From your strawberry/pretzel dessert to your love of the Flyers…this is how I will remember you most!! ?

Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there is a memory they live in our hearts to stay.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Carey. I have know Mr. Carey for over 20 years through his work with our clients at Woodbine Developmental Center. Mr. Carey was such a pleasant, caring man. He's been a pleasure to work with and he has improved the lives of the clients who live here through his knowledge and expertise in footwear. He will be greatly missed. We are grateful and blessed to have worked with him for so long.
