Linda was born in Philadelphia, PA and attended Southern High School. After graduation she worked as a teller at a mortgage bank, where she met a customer named Salvatore who would become the love of her life. The first day they met, they discovered they lived five houses apart on the same street.
After starting a family with Sal ,they moved to New Jersey in 1970. She and Sal founded three successful construction companies; S & L Steel, L&S Steel and Seaview window company. Linda acted as CFO for all three companies , all while raising 8 children.
She created a home her children loved. All her nieces and nephews would gather there, as well as half the youth population of Washington Township. The family swimming pool practically became a community center-a safe place to gather and enjoy life. If friends could not afford sports uniforms or field trip fees , Linda did not hesitate to pay. Her generosity was legendary around town.
Linda was a devout Catholic and CCD teacher. She loved cooking and entertaining. Her sense of humor and ability to have fun were unmatched. She had a flair for fashion that was worthy of Vogue magazine.
She loved getting ready for social events, while her children created chaos; trying on high heels and jewelry , smearing makeup on their faces .And somehow she always managed to be completely put together and glamorous. She could do it all and made it look easy.
Linda loved movies and was an expert on classic films. She spent the last months of her life watching Turner Classic Movies and Game Show Network with her family. Mostly, she loved to make her family laugh uncontrollably and her own infectious laugh was like a rhapsody of joy for anyone lucky enough to have spent time with her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday 10:15 – 11:45 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
