Clara B. Altieri nee Battilana

On November 7, 2010, of Washington Twp. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late Daniel A. Altieri. Devoted mother of Sandra M. Frazer Bruce, Michele Puliti Jim, Deborah A. Cleary Jim and Leslie Marre John. Loving grandmother of Frank, Jennifer, Beth Ann, Christina, Jacqueline, Daniel, Stephanie, Matthew and Catherine. Dear sister of Mary Battilana.

In her youth, Clara was a champion fencer and a Stage Door Canteen hostess during WWII. Clara spoke fluent Italian, and she and Dan had many wonderful experiences traveling the world. Clara enjoyed cooking for her family, but most of all, she enjoyed her grandchildren – especially at her beloved shore house on the bay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday eve 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Friday 8:15 – 9:15 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp. Interment Gloucester County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Clara’s memory may be made to St. John of God, 1145 Delsea Drive, Westville Grove, NJ 08093.
