Susan Ball Holden left a message on September 2, 2016:
Ron, you are now at rest, my dear high school friend and band buddy. I have always remembered the beautiful smooth tone you made come out of that baritone horn, and your gorgeous singing voice in chorus. We sure did have some special times with our little group of friends at the Italy Valley Baptist Church, didn't we? What I remember and cherish most about you is that no matter what was going on in your life, you were always there for me, and for anyone who needed a friend. Your genuine concern was uncommonly sincere for such a young man, and you would lift my spirits with your humor. I am grateful for having reconnected this year, now that we are so many decades grown up. Thank you for all of the conversations and wisdom you shared with me, and your abiding faith in the Lord. In closing, let me thank you for your service and unending devotion to our country, the United States of America. As you would say, "HOORAH!" Much love to you and your family, Susan Ball Holden (Susie) We will meet again.
