The first time I met Aimee was the day after Christmas this past December. I got pulled to her unit to work and was so glad I got to meet such a kind, caring, and beautiful person. Not to mention, an amazing nurse! After taking and working with Aimee that shift, we came to find that we were both Jefferson alumni too. I'll never forget that day with Aimee and I am so glad I got to spend the holiday meeting and working with a wonderful person and colleague. You will be missed!

Aimee, where do I begin. December 20, 1996 moving into our new home meeting our new neighbors the Girards moving into their new home the same day. Michael had strep throat and thus began Aimee's nursing career. Her new best friend was invited in to lay down and rest while our boxes were unloaded. Her infectious smile lit up our days through elementary, middle and high school. You were never far away from Michael no matter where the two of you were. We love you forever and await the day we see you again in heaven. All our love always. Rose, Michael and Shane

Aimee was the sweetest person I've ever known. It made perfect sense that she became a nurse after Ritas. She would go out of her way to help people; never thought of herself. Alexis Llewellyn left a message on August 13, 2014:
Aimee, You were so loved, by so many, and your vivacious and spontaneous personality made you so easy and fun to be around. You never said a harsh word about anyone, something I always admired about you. You were an animal lover, a hard worker, a go getter, & a high achiever! You had the world by the tail. I have so many good memories with you. I used to love when you would come over to study with the group, and you would come talk to me in the kitchen for hours. I remember when I made you tofu tacos... & Who cares what brenna said.. they were delicious! My sisters, still to this day, talk about the BBQ from 2012 that you and Justin, and seventy other people came to, at my mom's house. From the "sticky note frenzy", to throwing a brownie at Lauren Llewellyn's car. You were the life of the party, and we loved you. As we look at pictures, we are sickened by the tragedy that has occurred... But we smile and giggle when we talk about how much you loved your life, how you were always smiling, and how crazy and fun you were, (And still are in heaven!) I remember the Jefferson orientation, (when I pretended that I was a student there), millions of drives to the city and back, dinners, Atlantic City trips, and so much more with you! You were someone I always looked forward to being with & seeing. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolances go out to your sisters, parents, family and friends! We could never tell you how loved you were, how much you meant to so many, or how much you are missed here on Earth... The words just don't exist. All my love, Alexis Llewellyn

My sincere condolences to the family and friends who were truly honored to be a part of Aimee. Though my times with Aimee were brief (lunches, clinicals, studying together at Jefferson) I knew from when I met Aimee she was a very special woman. Sweet, kind, and funny! I can still recall some of the goofy ways she helped me to remember things for our tests....a precious life taken much too soon! My thoughts have not left the family of this special girl since I heard of this tragedy. My sincere regret. Tracey Bolton.

Middle school Aimee and I become great friends. Living on twin streams together we would shoot on her basketball court outside her house as she gawked over her neighbor she had a crush on lol we would laugh at some of the things her grandmother would say because she was old school. I can't count the number of arguments I witnessed between her and Britt. We had a blast when Malibu's Most Wanted premiered. Laughed til my spleen hurt. My fondest memory happened in my basement where she was rehearsing a dance to Fabulous' - Holla back youngin and she fell in front of my step father as he was coming down the stairs. He laughed himself to tears. Aimee brought me uncontrollable laughter and one of the most influential friends and neighbor of my lifetime. We fell off for a little while. Can't wait to laugh with you again. I miss you and love you dearly.... My deepest condolences to her entire family. #foreverinmyheart

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to sweet Aimee....taken too soon. I have had the pleasure of working with Aimee at Jefferson for the past two years. She started as a nurse extern, ( always willing and ready to learn), and then blossomed into a compassionate new nurse. I will never forget how Aimee would run up to me when I got into work and give me a great big hug and kiss - she always had a way of making everyone feel special. I used to kid around with her and tell her she looked like a young Elizabeth Taylor - just gorgeous! Not only was Aimee beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well. When she cared for a patient who was critically ill or dying it shook her to her core - she would be filled with emotion - and that is what made her such a great nurse and person. I know that there are no words that will ease your pain at this time, but please take comfort in knowing how much Aimee was loved and how many lives she impacted in her young age. In memory of Aimee, our unit is starting a fund that will provide items to families in need, (which will be called "The Aimee Fund" ). We thought this would be a great tribute to Aimee and how she lived her life - warm, caring, and loving.

Aimee&Britt were my very first friends when I moved to the neighborhood. We literally drove to school together EVERY morning. The girls would always blast Beyonce and we would sing on the way to school. Aimee and Britt had countless arguments but of course I wouldn't interfere it was a twin thing. Dances, parties, cookouts we have done so much together. Even if we didn't speak for awhile anytime I saw Aimee we'd run across the street to each other and catch up on life. Looking across the street now hurts my heart, knowing that my dear neighbors are hurting and missing a piece of them. That house is full of strong, driven, beautiful women that are all so close. I hurt for Ginger,Brit,Danielle,& Mim. I can't put into words how much I feel for them but I will say Aimee will be missed soooooo much along with that beautiful smile. Love you Aimee.

She offered right away for my son to contact her if he wanted to join a study group! I could tell that she was a young lady with a heart of gold! My sweet little Angel.......I met Amiee when she was about 19, I was a customer of hers when she was doing nails. She use to call me her second Mom and had told me a lot of personal things about her life. I have never met such a young vivacious young lady like her in my life. I remember she was so excited when she turned 21 so that she was legal to drink, she invited me to go out with her and her friends that night to celebrate. I was honored but I laughed and said why would you want a 53 yr. old woman to hang out with you and your friends? Her answer was so touching, She said because I love you and you are one of my friends. Aimee had no age on who were friends were, I laughed and said I think I'll stay home because I'll be asleep before you even leave your front door to go out. So, Aimee being Aimee sent me text msg. that said,,,,,,I'm walking out the front door to go out are you in bed??? If not come out with us. I laughed and told her a little white lie and said I was in bed already. Another story I will never forget is that she called me crying one night saying that she had to drop out of Drexel because it just got to expensive for her and she was so distraught she had no clue as to what she was going to do. I told her to take a deep breath and to think things over because you are a fighter and you will make this work. As time went on she called me so excited telling me that she was going to Jefferson to finish her schooling and she told me that I had such faith in her and she thanked me for making her fight for what she truly wanted to do in life. She told me that she loved me and that I would forever be in her life and in her heart. As I sit here with tears in my eyes I am so sorry that I cannot be in her life anymore but am consoled knowing that I will forever be in her heart. I love and miss you Aimee and it saddens me to no end knowing that our last text a few months ago would be our last. I know I will see you again and when I do I will look at that gorgeous face and smile and those gorgeous eyes and tell you one more time how much I love you. May you soar with the Angels sweetheart and please look down on us and keep us all safe. Until we meet again R.I.P. XOXOXO........To the Girard Family......I cannot even find the words to express how so sorry I am for your loss. May these posts help you know how much Aimee was truly loved. Karen Bowe Lilley
