George Hilbert, Sr.

On March 21, 2025, of Somers Point. Age 76. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Halicki). Devoted father of George Hilbert, Jr. (Rhonda), Stephanie Osterbrink (Robert)) and the late Anthony Hilbert. Loving grandfather of Amber, Bobby, Nicholas, Lucas and Annalise. Dear brother of James Hilbert. Brother-in-law of Debra Hearn. Loved by nieces and nephews.

George loved feeding the birds and watching the beautiful sunsets from his bay front condo. He was a lifelong fan, always cheering on the Phillies and Eagles. Spoiling his wife Kathy, caring for others, fishing, spending time with his five grandchildren, and having a Bacardi and seven at his favorite bar, Charlie’s in Somers Point were things he treasured.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral service 12:00 PM. Interment, Atlantic County Veteran’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation

I am so sorry to hear this. This is just a heartbreaker my prayers go out To the entire family. Your dad was a great man and a pretty funny one too. I will keep you all in my prayers.

My condolences to Aunt Kathy and family. Uncle George was full of life. I remember as a kid he was someone to look up to. He was filled with the gift of laughter. You could not but feel happy when you were around him. I had not seen him since Dad and Pam got married. Tina and I send our love.
